In the era of Internet development,online shopping,bulk commodity transportation and global trade all need logistics.Safe and efficient logistics transportation provides convenient services for people,brings substantial profits to enterprises and improves the international status of the country.The development of logistics industry can play an irreplaceable role in the national economy.The western region has always received the attention of the country.The western region is located in the border,has rich resources,numerous ethnic groups,its economic development will promote ethnic unity and social stability,as the "third profit source",the development of logistics industry in the western region is conducive to the optimal allocation of resources,the coordinated development of the east and the west,to achieve unity and integration of all ethnic groups and achieve common prosperity at an early date.In this paper,through literature reading,enterprise visit and index screening substitution method,we obtain the nine typical factors,which affect the western China logistics industry competitiveness,we build the corresponding evaluation index system,based on porter’s "diamond model" 。Then we consulted the national statistical yearbook,searched the websites of provincial governments and logistics Associations,and obtained the corresponding index data from 2016 to 2020.We substituted them into SPSS for factor analysis,and obtained the annual competitiveness scores and rankings of 12 western provinces from 2016 to 2020.Then,we substituted the five years’ known basic data of each province into Matlab for grey GM(1,1)prediction,and the prediction effect was ideal and passed the relevant test.We obtained the predicted values of 9 influencing factors in 12 provinces in2021-2025,and then substituted them into SPSS for factor analysis.Finally,we obtained the overall scores and ranking changes of provinces in 2021-2025.We found that the western provinces different emphasis in different period of development,leading to the composite scores and rankings change,at the same time,the social development of the situation is different,The epidemic has increased the volatility of freight transport turnover index weight.The progress of society and the development of mobile Internet have also weakened the influence of telephone penetration rate index.Highly educated talents and innovation level have gradually risen to the forefront of influential factors.In the end,we according to the actual rankings ranking and forecasting as well as the weight of each factor,proposed targeted for feasibility Suggestions on the development of logistics industry in western China,hope that the western provinces caught in good time,deep development and attach importance to the power of the talent,focus on scientific and technological innovation,strengthen land,sea and air transportation infrastructure construction in all directions,We will improve logistics industry standards and help industrial upgrading.
