The Study Of The Planting Structure Changes And Its Influencing Factors Of Farmers

Farmers planting structure affects agricultural structure and the stability of supply of agricultural products. To understand the behavioral characteristics of farmers from the source, which means a lot to the government policy and program restructure planting. The paper is based on the perspective that the farmers are the decision maker of agricultural production, which is the conclusion after collecting 200 valid samples data by using typical Hunan Province Irrigation (Tieshan Irrigation and Irrigation Ouyanghai). On one hand, to descriptively analyses the basic characteristics of farmers, agricultural business overview, structural changes and driving factors; on the other hand, by using Logistic Regression method to quantitatively analyses the factors that affecting the farmers'structural changes. Studies have shown that:the loss of rural labor force in agriculture makes the elder become the main; small-scale field planting makes less land transfer phenomenon; small agricultural production inputs make the low farming income; inadequate farmland irrigation infrastructure and farmers lack awareness of water conservation; agricultural production cooperatives is less, because of the lack of innovation management; the main driving factors of structural changes in farmers planting are water resources and labors; the householder ages, regional differences, the distance from the house to the nearest town, lack of water or not, and the soil types, all of the factors have significant positive impact on Planting Structure Changes. The result tells us that:the government should strengthen the field-based irrigation facilities, increase investment for special funds; innovate forms of agricultural management organization, develop the appropriate scale management; plan the planting structure adapt to the changes of the requirement in market; protect the agricultural prices, establish the agricultural markets, perfect sales service system; improve the cultural quality of the farmers, cultivate all-new farmers; promote the innovations and applications of agricultural science and technology, improve agricultural service system and farmers'self-quality, learn and master the modern agricultural knowledge.
