Series of problem caused by global warming that accompanied by emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas from human activities in city,has become a challenge for the social development and human survival,so low carbon urban planning was concerned about.The ecological land of urban fringe as the main to play the role of carbon sink in carbon cycle,and there is a conjugate relationship between it and construction land,so that it can directly affect the carbon sink and indirectly affect the carbon emission.It is an important link to realize the city low carbon development to explore the low carbon space optimization layout of urban fringe,which is based on indirect cutting emissions and direct adding sinks.By establishing the model of carbon cycle in the urban fringe area,process,characteristics and driving mechanism of that were discussed.It is considered that there exist two systems in the carbon cycle of "urban-urban fringe" system:natural process and economic process,and that was divided into two dimensions:vertical circulation and horizontal circulation,which driven by natural environment,production activities and human life style.Three goals and three direction of ecological land optimization in urban fringe are proposed.On the one hand,circle model,network model,radiation model and scatter model was put forward four edge area of ecological land layout model are summarized,and these model are compared and evaluated for low carbon base on horizontal carbon circulation,witch provides the basis for constructing the ideal model of the low carbon ecological land layout in urban fringe On the other hand,base on vertical carbon circulation,the influence factors of carbon sink ability of ecological land were summarized,and nine key factors were extracted to construct the resistance evaluation model of vertical carbon circulation process,and analysis method of low carbon security pattern of ecological land in urban fringe was put forward.Then,the theoretical framework of ecological land layout optimization in urban fringe of low carbon orientation was formed.Finally,the practice of Nanning City as a case,with the help of RS remote sensing technology and GIS spatial overlay analysis technology,characteristics,mechanism and problems of ecological land layout in urban fringe of Nanning City are analyzed,witch support an ideal model of ecological land use space layout in urban fringe of Nanning City.Combining analysis of low carbon security pattern in urban fringe of Nanning City,the layout of ecological land in urban fringe of Nanning city was optimized,and the optimized scheme of ecological land layout in Nanning city was put forward.
