Humility has a long history of culture and religion,which is obvious and deeply felt in the history of the development of the West and China,Such as Buddhism,Islam see humility as the individual and social moral nourishment,praise highly.And the West is the first to put the introduction of humility into the field of leaders.The study of humble leadership provides explanatory reasons and solutions for the reality of business scandals,abuse of power,commercial fraud and other bad behavior.It is a new Leadership theory to meet the needs of the times.In recent years,Western scholars on the research of humble leadership is not diminished,ranging from concepts,scale development to the antecedents and outcomes,.In China,the research of humble leadership recently began to rise,most concentrated in Exploring the results of humble leadership.There are a lot of theoretical and practical value worthy to research and develop.This article contains three sub-studies:In study one,humble leadership scale was developed and its validity was examined.In this study,the samples were employees from domestic enterprise and public institution and divided into three groups.the initial scale of humble leadership was established by qualitative research.The structural and predictive validity is wel.Study two is the antecedents of humble leadership.We chosed narcissism and Machiavelliism,and the sample are employees from enterprise and public institution of such as Shandong and Nanchang.A leader and three subordinates made up a team.using team data and analyzing by regression analysis to see the influence of Narcissism and Machiavelliism on humble leadership.Study three is the cross-level influence of the humble leadership on job performance: the affective commitment as the intervening variable,the supervisor competence as the regulated variable.The sample is the same to study two.Job performance is divided into the role of performance and organizational citizenship behavior to explore the impact path of humble leadership on job performance.The following conclusions were drawn from this study:Firstly,humble leadership scale includes four dimensions and 13 entries with good structural and predictive validity.Secondly,narcissism and Machiavelliism has a significant negative impact on the humble leadership.The higher the leader's level of narcissism Machiavelliism,the less likely to become a humble leader.Thirdly,humble leadership has a significant positive impact on the role in the performance and organizational citizenship behavior.The humble leadership exerts an influence on the performance of role and organizational citizenship through affective commitment.The affective commitment plays a intervening role,supervisor competence plays a moderating role between humble leadership and role in the performance and organizational citizenship behavior.
