Research On The Impact Of The Import Of Intermediate Products On The Export Sophistication Of Chinese Manufacturing Industry Products

Since China carried out the reform and open-up policy,the trade of Chinese import and export has caught a lot of attention.The total volume of the trade has been increasing gradually and the structure of the trade has been updated continuously.So the related academic research has been more and more profound.During the procedure of the more and more profound globalization of trade,the patterns of international specialization are more in details and the import and export of China’s trade has produced a qualitative leap.However,intermediate products play the main role in the import of China’s trade.According to the statistics,the imports of intermediate products take up about 75.75% of the total imports in China between 2000 and 2014.In China,processing trade is the main way of the export.That means,through importing plenty of high-integrated and hightech accessories,making use of the advantages of labor resources,assembling and processing,and then being transporting and selling to other places.This has laid good foundation for China to be manufacturing power.Definitely,the importing of plenty of intermediate products will stimulate the export of final products.However,it is worth studying if the high technology contained in intermediate products will produce the flow effect and improve the quality of exporting manufacturing goods.The concept of export sophistication has become a good analytical tool in the study.This paper analyzes the connection between the report of intermediate and the export sophistication of Chinese manufacturing industry products with theoretical and empirical analysis.This paper can be sorted in six parts which means the introduction and the five chapters.The introduction of the purpose and the significance of this paper will be explained in the first part,then this part will review the relative documents of domestic and abroad.In the first chapter,the influence mechanism of the import of intermediate on the export sophistication of Chinese manufacturing industry products will be analyzed from theoretical and empirical aspect.The metering method of the import of intermediate and the current situation of Chinese manufacturing industry will be stated in the second chapter.After choosing the measure method,the export sophistication of Chinese manufacturing industry products will be calculated in the third chapter.In the fourth chapter,the connection between the report of intermediate and the export sophistication of Chinese manufacturing industry products will be measured using panel data model.Depending on the conclusions given in the fourth chapter,thesuggestions of how to improve the quality of the export of Chinese manufacturing industry will be given at last.
