Abstract/Summary:
Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy has been in long-term sustained growth. However, the rapid economic development has also brought the imbalance of regional economic development, resulting in large differences in regional economic development. In 2015,China’s per capita GDP is more than four times the difference between the highest and lowest provinces, and the provinces with high per capita GDP are mainly concentrated in the east, and the low concentrated in the west. Can the phenomenon show that there is a big difference of China’s provincial economic development, and what is the trend?Does it mean that China’s provincial economic development has a spatial agglomeration effect?Whether the development of a provincial economy will affect the economic development of neighboring areas? What are the main factors that affect the provincial economic development? This is the main problem of this paper, and it is also the problem that must be paid attention to achieve long-term equilibrium and stable development of China’s economy.First of all,by calculating the range, standard deviation and relative range of China’s provincial economic development level from 2000 to 2015.Found that the absolute difference in the level of economic development is increasing, while the relative difference is declining from 2005 to 2015.At the same time, from the perspective of GDP,population and income point of view, this paper uses the comprehensive index to measure and analyze the change trend of provincial economic development differences in China since twenty-first Century.Found that after 2001,the Gini coefficient showed a steady trend; And the weighted coefficient of variation and the Theil index are relatively stable from 2000 to 2007;After 2007,there is a trend of declining rapidly. It proves that there is a great difference in the provincial economic development, but the development trend is shrinking.Secondly,by the global spatial auto-correlation analysis,it is found that there isa positive spatial correlation between China’s provincial economy, indicating that China’s provincial economic development level has spatial dependency. The Moran Scatter plot analysis shows that the vast provinces are in the first and three quadrants, show positive spatial auto-correlation.At the same time by the Chinese provincial economy LISA map can also see that China’s provincial economic development level is most low-low concentration, mainly concentrated in the western provinces, and mainly to the southwest, forming a economic collapse area;high-high concentration is not much, and mainly located in the Yangtze River Delta and Beijing. Therefore,it is proved that China’s provincial economic development has a spatial agglomeration effect, and the development of a provincial economy will affect the economic development of neighboring areas. In the next place, the regression coefficients of the structural index, human capital index and foreign direct investment index are positive by establishing a spatial error model, which is consistent with the expected results and passed through 5%significance test. Therefore, the main factors that influence the provincial economic development are industrial structure, human capital, foreign direct investment. Finally, according to the research results, the paper puts forward reasonable suggestions and measures to promote the coordinated development of regional economy from four aspects-Promote the upgrading of the industrial structure in underdeveloped provinces;Increase training of high-quality talent in undeveloped areas, and promote educational exchanges;Promote the central and western regions to actively attract foreign investment and increase the level of foreign trade.
