Analysis Of The Spatial And Temporal Differences And Growth Convergence Of Industrial Economy In Yunnan Province

As the leading sector of the national economy,the industry has been providing a solid material basis for the development and construction of the country or region and it's a concentrated reflection of the progress and prosperity of a certain region.For Yunnan Province,industry is the core industry of the national economy.With the continuous development of market economy,the industrial economy of Yunnan Province has also experienced an unprecedented progress.However,due to the impact of government policy,location,natural resources,talent and other factors,the industrial economy of each states and cities in Yunnan Province are quite different,and this difference will affect the coordinated development of regional industrial economy,and also hinder the overall economic and social sustainable development.In view of this condition,this paper takes Yunnan Province industrial economy as the research object,a detailed analysis and research on the temporal and spatial differences in Yunnan Province and the industrial economic growth convergence is made.And then on the basis of the actual situation in Yunnan Province,corresponding solving strategies of regional regulation is put forward.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to improve the level of industrialization and realize the sustainable development of Yunnan's industrial economy.This paper gives qualitative description of the present situation of the whole industrial economy in Yunnan Province and takes states and cities as research unit to discuss.Based on the perspective of regional economy difference,comparative analysis of the spatial and temporal differences of industrial economy in Yunnan Province from 1998 to 2014 is made by means of absolute difference index and relative difference index.In the relative difference index measurement process,the overall difference is divided into two parts with Theil index,namely interval difference and area difference,and through which to reveal the evolution rule of the difference of industrial economic growth and its source in Yunnan Province.The empirical results show that change of industrial economic growth differences in Yunnan Province presents characteristic of "S",while it reduces year by year from the general trend.Reginal difference and interval difference is characterized by "double down",But the reginal difference was smaller than the interval difference.Therefore,the primary task of narrowing the difference of industrial economic growth in Yunnan Province is to reduce the Interval difference.Based on the analysis of the differences,the industrial economic growth convergence of states and cities in Yunnan Province is made to verify whether ? convergence,absolute ? convergence and conditional ? convergence exists in the whole province,central region of Yunnan,marginal region of Yunnan and abdominal region of Yunnan.The results showed that the three kinds of convergence do exists on the whole,meanwhile,the speed of absolute ? convergence is 3.49 percentage from 1998 to 2014.From a regional perspective,there exists ? convergence,conditional ? convergence in central region of Yunnan,marginal region of Yunnan and abdominal region of Yunnan.Moreover,by means of conditional ? convergence analysis we find that to improve industrial economic growth of states and cities in Yunnan Province and achieve coordinated and sustainable development of industrial economy,Yunnan Province can starts from improving industrial human capital investment level in marginal region and abdominal region of Yunnan,increasing investment in industrial material capital,adjusting industrial structure,and speeding up the process of urbanization.
