As time goes by,safety in catering industry can never be ignored.In the past few years,the events regarding food safety have frequently occurred in China,some of which came to light in the annual 3·15 Gala program in 2016.For example,the catering platform named “Are you hungry” was forced to be closed down due to its lack of the business license.In addition,the world-famous chain store KFC was also criticized for the scandal of its kitchen.What's worse,the tableware in Jibaijia was barely disinfected,which is really shocking.Not only are these illegal activities a direct threat to people's lives and safety,but they also reduce the social credibility of the government.Considering the complexity and variety of the food safety regulatory issues,it is high on the agenda for us to analyze the current problems existing in the catering and service industry objectively and further improve the existing food safety regulatory system in a bid to ensure the safety of people's diet.This article is intended to comb through the risk in food safety of current catering industry and explore all kinds of typical problems in the process of food safety supervision and management in Yandu District of Yancheng City.Through scientific reference and reasonable application of domestic and foreign advanced ideas of regulation and regulatory measures,the author will focus on building effective food safety regulatory system in the grass-roots food industry and putting forward some food safety regulatory measures which will satisfy the needs of basic supervision.The thesis is divided into five chapters,mainly focusing on food safety problems in the catering industry in Yandu District of Yancheng City.Chapter One is to clarify the purpose and significance of the selected topic and review the research achievements at home and abroad.A brief introduction concerning food safety in catering industry will be given in Chapter Two,a definite concept about food safety and exact classification about supervision objects included.Chapter Three will mainly focus on the analysis of the regulatory problems in catering industry in Yandu District of Yancheng City.In the fourth chapter,the author will pick out several good approaches employed by foreign countries to supervising catering industry effectively.In the following chapter,practical countermeasures and suggestions will be put forward so that food safety supervision in catering industry in Yandu District of Yancheng City will be improved.Conclusions are drawn in the last chapter.
