A Study On Project Management Based On OPM3 Model

With the increasingly fierce market competition and personalized customer needs,the life cycles of enterprise products or services are shorter and shorter.Enterprise production and business activities took on "project-oriented" trend,"project-oriented enterprises" came into being.Project-based business activities mainly base on project as vehicle,through the operation of the project to achieve the conversion from strategy to value.Strategy is the direction of project selection,project is the method to achieve strategy.With the increasing of the number of projects developed by project-oriented enterprises,the complexity of the internal and external environment of the enterprise has an increasingly impact on the realization of enterprise strategic target.Organizational-level project management becomes an important guarantee for the realization of strategic management because of its strategic,dynamic,hierarchical,integrated,scientific,and systematic.This paper combs a large number of domestic and foreign related literatures on project management and strategic management,and defines and divides the related concepts which are still vague in academic circles.It divides strategy into three categories,the overall strategic strategy,sub-unit strategy,functional strategy and subdivides strategic management into fiver steps,strategic action,strategic plan,strategic implementation,strategic control,strategic evaluation,as well as analyzes the relationship between project and strategy,organization-level project management and enterprise strategic management.On this basis,based on the development balance of time dimension and resource equilibrium demand in spatial dimension,uses the organizational project management maturity model OPM3 to obtain the project-oriented enterprises' strategic management basic framework based on OPM3 model.And from the perspective of strategy and project and strategic management and project management to match,finally get the enterprise's organizational maturity matrix,strategic match matrix and strategic management matching matrix.Based on the above theoretical analysis and basic framework,this paper studies the strategic management of WF company in toy manufacturing industry based on OPM3 model,obtains the concrete appraisal result.Based on the final assessment,constructs WF Company's overall maturity,PPP maturity,and OE maturity,as well as the strategic management level and the strategic management process of the scientific level corresponded by above three-level strategic management level.Also based on the project management,use this evaluation results to point out some relevant suggestions for WF Company to enhance the strategic management capacity.The conclusion of this paper is expected to have some reference function for other manufacturing enterprises with similar background.
