Research purposesIn view of the insufficient physical fatigue assessment tools in our manufacturing industry,preliminary development a physical fatigue scale for manufacturing production operator.In order to verify the validity of the scale,this paper test and verify the reliability,validity and exploratory factor.This scale could be used to evaluate the physiological fatigue condition for our production operator and also provides a theoretical support to alleviate physical fatigue.Research methodsTo ensure the effectiveness and representativeness of the scale,strict accord with procedures when the development scale.Firstly,through literature research,interviews and other methods to determine the theoretical structure and scale library entry;Secondly,through the exchange and on-site operator,correct the scale again,the formation of the pre-trial scale contains 38 entries;Third,conduct pre-survey using 218 operators,analyze the collected data,and adjust the entries,eventually forming formal scale including 22 entries.Finally,survey 550 operators using the method t-test,variance analysis,fatigue analysis to analysis of fatigue and physiological factors.Research resultThrough the analysis showed that:(1)physiological fatigue can be measured by the following dimensions: labor organization,job satisfaction,their own conditions,work ability,work environment;(2)the total scale has good reliability,the total scale’s α coefficient was 0.872 and subscale α coefficient was between 0.796 ~ 0.868;(3)the scale has good construct validity,exploratory factor analysis extracted five factors and the cumulative variance contribution rate of 65.580%;(4)the level of physiological strain was at the middle level(3.440 ± 0.613).Findings1.Prepared scale was in line with the requirements of surveying,and had good discrimination,reliability and validity,it can be used to measure physical fatigue of the production operator.2.The analysis revealed that China’s manufacturing industry operator fatigue level based on physiological characteristics of different individuals,different factors showed a different degree of sensitivity.Supervisor should take different improvement measures when taken to reduce physiological fatigue.
