The emergence of BIM technology has changed the traditional construction model, accelerated the transformation of the construction industry mode from the extensive development model to the intensive development model. However, the application of BIM technology has not been promoted nationwide in recent years. The purpose of this paper is to find out the main obstacle factors of application of the BIM technology and establish the corresponding incentive mechanism according to the obstacle degree of obstacle factors. This paper first described the application of BIM technology and the incentive mechanism of the relevant theory at home and abroad. Then, the paper summarized the obstacle factors of BIM technology from the published papers, combined with the reality of our country, classified the obstacle factors, formed a standard obstacle factors evaluation index system of project manager. The index system was divided into five primary indexes: technical class, management class, rule class, economy class and environment class, and multiple secondary indexes. This paper used the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of the obstacle factors of BIM technology in our country's project manager at present,so as to find out the main obstacle factors in the application process of BIM technology. Finally, the paper analyzed the role of project manager and the government in the application of BIM technology, and established the self-development incentive mechanism of the project manager from the aspects of material incentive and spiritual incentive, the incentive mechanism of the government from the aspects of tax incentives, financial subsidies and technical support to promote the project manager BIM technology applications through the establishment of the corresponding incentive mechanism.
