The Study On Incentive And Constraint Mechanism Of Construction Corporation Manager In Our Country

With entrance to WTO, Chinese construction faces the competition in the world. How to win in the competition with the foreign construction corporations who superior in money,technology and management in the global construction market, is due to whether we have a lager account of construction project managers and motivate them better. Project management and project manger responsibility are applied in construction corporations. Project mangers play an important role in the construction corporations, control and manage the project, influence the quality, time, safety and cost of the project. Project mangers are the represent of corporations to manage project directly, so there is asymmetric information between project managers and corporations, and project managers' behavior may not according to the destination of corporation. So we have better the Incentive and Constraint Mechanism of project managers.There are some problems in Incentive and Constraint Mechanism of project managers in our country's construction corporation now. for example , unreasonable salary structure, high percent short term salary, too-high work expense;Unscientific appraisal index system; unscientific supervisor system; lack of vocational training. The article analyses the reasons of these problems of a construction corporation, at this base it give some suggestion to resort the problems. Incentive and Constraint Mechanism of project managers is based on the scientific appraisal index system. Incentive Mechanism contents material mechanism and nonmaterial mechanism. Material mechanism includes salary, work expense and Phantom Stock Plan. Nonmaterial mechanism includes fame incentive, professional training, competition incentive and incentive. Constraint Mechanism contents constraint mechanism inside corporation and outside constraint mechanism. Constraint Mechanism inside includes bettering corporation manage structure, strengthening appraisal system, responsibility constraint, budget constraint. Outside Constraint Mechanism includes bettering law system, project manager market, product market constraint, professional ethic, industry organization and social audit.
