The Empirical Study Of China's Service Industry's Capacity To Absorb Employment

Employment is an important problem related to the national economy and people's livelihood.Service industry develops rapidly since the reform and opening-up.The role of the service industry to absorb employment appeared continuously and it has gradually become an important force to drive the economic development.Our country is populous,face a severe employment pressure,many studies suggest that the service has strong ability to absorb employment,finally it can absorb a many work force,so research the service industry 's ability to absorb employment to alleviate employment pressure has important meaning to our country.The article use empirical analysis and normative analysis method and data from statistical yearbook analysis characteristics of the service industry as well as the service industry structure and employment structure evolution,current situation characteristic.It adopts scientific quantitative index such as structure deviation,comparative labor productivity and employment elasticity of the service sector to analyze its ability to absorb employment,using empirical research method to investigate China's overall ability to absorb employment.Meanwhile,the article analysis the affecting factors in economic research,and select the corresponding data to support research,add the labor force quality,the second industry employment factors to build an influenced factor model of China's and regions with different economic development levels,and put forward the significant factors influencing the service industrial's ability to absorb employment.The empirical study found that Chinese service industry developed rapidly,and the added value and proportion of employment sustained a stable growth,but compared with developed countries in the world it still exists the phenomenon of low added value and employment proportion,with a certain gap between the world's average level;With the measure of structure deviation,employment elasticity and comparative labor productivity the article found that the ability to absorb employment service industry has entered into the phase of bottleneck.From the international development experience,the development of economy and the improvement of GDP will promote the development of service industry,the proportion of service industry employment will continue to increase,the ability to absorb employment has bigger potential.The service industry to absorb employment ability has a big room to improve.The analysis of the influence factors found that quality of the labor force and the level of service industry will drive the growth of service industrial employment proportion,the advancement of urbanization will be conducive to the employment of developed areas,raising the level of service industry development has more promoting impact to the less developed areas.Finally according to the actual situation,the article put forward the policies and Suggestions to develop service industry and create more employment opportunities.
