Liquefied natural gas(LNG)is a unique material adopted when natural gas is stored and transportated.Inventory management of LNG is closely related to upstream and downstream enterprises,not only affected by the supply of upstream and the demand of downstream,also is limited by storage tank capacity.If LNG inventory management was improper,there may be a risk of empty cans or full jars.In order to ensure the normal operation of the LNG main project,matching the availability of the LNG storage tank with LNG ship unloading capacity,LNG storage tank availability and downstream user demand,it is possible to avoid the shortage of goods in the LNG tank and the overstock of the LNG tank.Therefore,The inventory control of LNG should be carried out from the whole of the entire supply chain resources.The optimal cost of the entire LNG supply chain inventory is achieved by pursuing the optimal value of the inventory cost at each connection point in the supply chain.This paper first introduces the background and significance of the research on LNG supply chain inventory management,summarizes the current research situation at home and abroad,and analyzes the necessity and starting point of the research on LNG enterprise inventory management in China.Based on the basic theory of supply chain inventory management and the multi-echelon inventory management model with optimal inventory cost in supply chain,this paper established A company supply chain multi-level inventory management model according to the actual situation of A Natural Gas Co.,Ltd.and LNG supply chain characteristics.And then use the genetic algorithm to solve the A company supply chain multi-level inventory cost optimal solution.Finally,based on the stock data of A Natural Gas Co.,Ltd.from October to December of 2016,this paper compares the difference between actual inventory level and the guidance of inventory levels through the model using matlab software to calculate,and puts forward countermeasures according to the difference value.Through the research in the optimal level of A company LNG supply chain multi-level inventory,this paper calculated A company's optimal inventory cost is 3.65 x 10~9 yuan,the best order volume is 60,000 tons,the best order point is 80,000 tons,that is,the average tank level is 13.4 meters.There are ± 0.95%deviation between the guidance of inventory level and the actual inventory level,which can be corrected by strengthening the economic stock coordination,spot procurement LNG,information communication,response to force majestic factors and other aspects.After the deviation is corrected,the enterprise will be able to study and formulate inventory management measures in advance to ensure smooth gasification to the upstream and stable gas supply to the downstream market,to achieve smooth production,enhance the ability to resist risks and reduce the total inventory costs.
