Along with the globalization and sustainability of kinds of companies,especially for manufacturing industy,technician with the related corporate value is one of needed crucial factors.For this kind of people,one of most important supplying channel is graduation students.And furthermore,it is the core time to cultivate them on their further development when they just graduated 2 or 3 years.During this trainee period,we call them Engineering Trainee.The purpose of the article is to find a Engineering Trainee Development Mode.It is really different against with Management Trainee program,it is a totally new development mode.In order to investigate the new mode,I adpot Face to Face Interview,Case Study and Questionnaire related methods to futher research my company,15 factories of S Group and some manufacturing units of MNCs in the industry.And I would like to say the development mode will be stated as below.Based on the company strategy to establish the Development Purpose of Engineering Trainee,Key Competence should be justified according to the Development Purpose.Professional behaviors and skills will be acquired by them via Customized Ways of Cultivating,Systematic Contents,Creative Controlling and Evaluating Regulations.So that the Engineering Trainee obtains the necessary Key Competence to reach the Development Purpose.The cruicial different for Engineering Development Mode against others is called “No specific positions for Engineering Trainees,positioning should be made by 2 parties,both managers and Engineering Trainees themselves”.It states that there is no specific position and related line manager for each Engineering Trainee when they joined one company,and it will be done after one Engineering Trainee finished his traineeship,via a systematic training programs.During the period,the competence,personality traits will be further cultivated and investigated.Since positioning based on futher understanding of each partes,manager and engineering trainne,even Engineering Trainee themselves,it should be a win-win solution.Not only the company can benefit a lot on the Engineering Trainee's sustainable contribution,but also the Engineering Trainee themselves can benefit much on his future career path.The Development Mode of Engineering Trainee has been introduced in S Group for 4 years,it has been approved a successful way of junior technical talent.For my company,it has been recognized by Europe Headquarter and introduced to other manufacturing units of Europe.So far,some subsidiaries of MNCs have launched all or part of development ways on technical graduates training and run very well.So we are confident that the Development Mode of Engineering Trainee will be a proved effective way of young technical talent cultivating in the future.
