Since the US financial crisis in 2008,the Chinese auto enterprises have seized the opportunities for the auto industry in the developed countries,and made great efforts in research and development of new cars.The automobile production and sales volume has been leading the world for many years.Now,China has really entered the ranks of automobile powers.However,the automobile power is not equal to the power of the car,the Chinese car is limited by the technical backwardness,the brand influence is weak and environmental protection requirements are not compliance and other factors have been unable to knock the door of the developed countries market,compared to the huge production and sales,the export volume is much smaller.In this case,cross-border mergers and acquisitions has become a shortcut that China's auto companies to quickly grasp the core areas of automotive technology and enhance the brand image.With the increasing scale of cross-border mergers and acquisitions in China's auto industry,there are more and more problems in cross-border mergers and acquisitions,and people tend to focus more on integration of assets or human resources than cultural integration,but due to cultural differences,the behavior of the way and the management of the differences will eventually affect the effect of mergers and acquisitions.This paper is in this context of China's auto industry cross-border mergers and acquisitions in the cultural integration of the study.This paper first briefly introduces the research progress of the theory of cross-border M&A and the theory of cultural integration,and then introduces the development process of Chinese automobile enterprises and the characteristics of cross-border mergers and acquisitions in China's automobile enterprises in recent years.And then analyzied the cases SAIC merged SsangYong and Geely merged Volvo from the perspective of cultural integration.Finally,based on the lessons and experiences from the two cases,made some practical recommendations for the Chinese auto companies in the future cross-border mergers and acquisitions in the cultural integration.
