Faced with an increasingly complex and severe international economic environment,innovation-driven economic development has become a key link in China's economic development.And the realization of the innovation-driven development strategy is bound to rely on innovative behaviors of millions of civilians and public enterprises.The foundation of enterprise innovation lies in the personal innovation of employees.And the individual innovation behaviors of employees is greatly influenced by the leadership style of leaders.It has been shown that transformational leadership contributes to the creation of employee's innovation behavior,and psychological empowerment plays a mediating role in it.However,most of these studies are based on the mature standardized enterprises.For the startups,related research is insufficient.Under the background of mass entrepreneurship and innovation,more and more startups will come into being.Therefore,it is a very valuable question to explore the relationship between leadership style,psychological empowerment and employee innovation behavior which is meaningful to guide managing practice.So this paper take employees in startups as respondents to conduct research.This study is divided into two parts:one is the theoretical research part.Through the research of related literature at home and abroad,the basic concepts,research methods,research tools and research results are clear.And on the basis of these study,this concepts,hypothesis and technical route of this paper are formed.The second part is empirical study.212 employees of many startups are selected randomly to fulfill the questionnaires from different Science and Technology Parks in Nanjing.SPSS and AMOS are used for data collation and analysis.The data analysis methods include factor analysis,correlation analysis,structural equation modeling and other methods.The empirical results basically confirmed the research ideas and assumptions,and draw the following main conclusions:1.Transformational leadership of managers in startups has a significant positive impact on employee's innovation behavior.Under the same conditions,idealized influence has the greatest influence on employees' innovation behavior,followed by individual care and vision motivation.For managers in startups,how to improve the leadership style of managers,enhance the effectiveness of leadership,so as to increase the creative enthusiasm of employees,is still important issue.2.Psychological empowerment has a significant positive impact on the innovation behavior of start-up employees.Under the same conditions,the self-efficacy has the greatest influence on employee's innovation behavior,followed by work meaning,autonomy and work influence.The higher the psychological empowerment employees feel,the more confident and motivated would employees take to overcome difficulties.And there would be more innovative thinking and innovative behavior come into being during the time.3.Transformational leadership has a significant positive impact on the psychological empowerment of employees in startups.And the effect from the different dimensions of the transformational leadership and psychological empowerment are not the same.Therefore,in the managing practice,the manager of startups really need to improve the leadership style to make employees feel higher psychological empowerment,in order to achieve organizational goals.4.Psychological empowerment plays the role of mediator in the influence of transformational leadership on employee's innovation behavior.And every dimensions of psychological empowerment shows partial mediation.And These require the managers should enhance employees' feeling of psychological empowerment through different aspects of transformational leadership which helps to make the leadership more effective and promote employees to show more innovative behavior.
