Study On The Status Of Marine Transportation In The Belt And The Road Initiative Strategy

Marine transportation,also called "international marine cargo transportation",is a major mode of transportation in global logistics.It refers to transporting goods among different countries and harbors through maritime channels by shipping,which is most widely used in international transportation."The Belt and Road Initiatives" is shorted for "silk road economic belt" and "21 th-century marine silk road".The strategy relies on the existing bilateral and multilateral systems between China and other countries,and the efficient regional cooperation platforms.It will also actively develop the economic relations with partners along the belt to construct the community of interest,fate and responsibility in political mutual trust,economic convergence and cultural tolerance by holding up peaceful development in accordance with historical symbols of the ancient silk road.The suggestion and establishment of the strategy greatly increases the significance of marine transportation which occupies over 2/3 international trade volume in total as the major logistical mode.Being the core,marine transportation and is tightly related to the strategy.This paper mainly studies the significance of marine transportation in "the Belt and Road Initiatives" strategy.The first part introduces the background,significance,direction and methodology of the thesis,as well as relevant study of both domestic and foreign scholars.The second part studies the historical opportunities of marine transportation in "the Belt and Road Initiatives" strategy.It analyzes the historical background of the strategy,and elaborates main functions and extension effects of marine transportation on China's development through evaluating the inside-and-outside developing trends and the international growing environment;The third part studies the status of marine transportation as a pioneer in the strategy by considering its demonstrating significance in the market and trade exchange under the general aims of the strategy,based on the principle of "transportation-orientation in construction and development".The fourth part further studies the general aims of the strategy,creating the global declaration of human beings--the "interest,fate and responsibility" community.The thesis explains the function of the declaration and aims as the main carrier in the aspects of political mutual trust,economic integration and cultural tolerance.Through combining the author's own working experience and the goal of developing ecological ocean by talents,enterprises,ports and all human beings,the fifth part proposes some suggestions to improve the comprehensive strength of domestic marine transportation and further study the essentiality of marine transportation in "the Belt and Road Initiatives" strategy.
