Improving employee job satisfaction has been a problem for managers everywhere, and Huawei Nepal is no exception.Previous research has found that poor working conditions, inconsistent leadership, poor relationship among colleagues, lack of competitive remuneration, and limited opportunities for promotion can lead to employee dissatisfaction. Therefore this paper studies through the issuance of Job Descriptive Index(JDI)questionnaire, investigates and analyzes the status of job satisfaction of Huawei employees in Nepal, assesses the degree of their job satisfaction, highlights the existing problems, and extends some suggestions to improve the Human Resource Management(HRM)policy. This study describes the overall job satisfaction of 127(84.6%)Nepalese employees and 23(15.4%)Chinese employees in Huawei's Nepal branch.Using SPSS statistical analysis software, the variance analysis of the five dimensions(i.e.work itself, remuneration, promotion, relationship with colleague, and supervision)of the various demographic classification variables and job satisfaction is carried out, thus comparing the influence of the Chinese and Nepalese employees regarding job satisfaction with different categories of variables, the results of the analysis are as follows:(1)one way ANOVA and Least Significance Difference(LSD)test comparison analysis showed that variables like gender, age and education level had significant impact on employee job satisfaction, while marital status and years of service had no significant impact.Specially,Nepalese female employees were more satisfied with their colleagues in comparison to Nepalese male employees.Chinese employees under the age of 25 were less satisfied with their colleagues whereas satisfaction towards colleagues was significantly higher in the 36-40 age group of employees.Job satisfaction was significantly higher among both Nepalese and Chinese employees with undergraduate and graduate qualification, whereas those employees with educational qualification of college and junior college or below were less satisfied.(2)Nepalese-Chinese employees' overall job satisfaction results indicated that Nepalese employees' satisfaction towards the work itself and the salary is lower than that of Chinese employees',and satisfaction towards colleague-relationship is higher than Chinese employees'.(3)The overall job satisfaction of Huawei Nepal employees towards these two aspects is satisfactory:the work itself and opportunity for promotion;and unsatisfactory towards three aspects:salary, colleagues and the leadership.According to the above conclusions, this study puts forward some countermeasures to improve human resource management efficiency and also forecasts the shortcomings of this study for the future research.
