The Research On The Relationship Between Industrial Agglomeration And Industrial Upgrading In The Yangtze Riverdelta Urban Agglomeration

Along with our country entering the shift of growth,transformation,structure optimization,power conversion of the new normal economic development stage,industrial development has entered a new stage.The manufacturing industry agglomeration and industrial upgrading on the "new normal",has the important theory for us to promote the upgrading of manufacturing industry in Yangtze River Delta region and the country's industrial development,economic development,practical significance.Based on the current of industrial agglomeration and industrial upgrading on the basis of literature review,the research direction is constructed in this paper.The analysis of most researches is based from the provincial level,but less on the expansion from the angle of the city.Firstly,this paper makes a detailed description of the development status of the urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta from two aspects: static and dynamic.Secondly,the measurement method of industrial agglomeration is introduced in detail,and the spatial Gini coefficient and location entropy are selected to measure the degree of industrial agglomeration.At last,in order to estimate the degree of industrial agglomeration by the location entropy index,the 17 cities of the Yangtze River Delta region from 2003-2014 data are collected.The empirical results show that:(1)results can be found in the industry agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta to the remarkable positive effect on industrial upgrading;from the varying coefficient model test,different cites of the Yangtze River Delta manufacturing industry agglomeration have different effects,including Shanghai,Nanjing,Wuhu and Changzhou the manufacturing industry agglomeration has significant negative effect on industrial upgrading,while Zhoushan,Hefei and Ma'anshan manufacturing industry agglomeration has positive effect on industrial upgrading.(2)the variable intercept model test shows that the fixed assets investment,urbanization,energy demand,foreign investment,the growth rate of GDP upgrade and technological progress have significant positive effect and upgrading of industry.Finally,combining theoretical research and empirical results,the corresponding policy recommendations are proposed to provide reference for the government to formulate industrial policies.
