SAP And P6 System Interface Technology Study

SAP(System,Application and Production in Data Processing)and P6(Oracle Primavera P6)is the leading systems in nowadays industries.SAP combines computer information technologies with business process management to get the advantages in the fierce market competition.And P6 system provides powerful,easy-to-use solution to enterprise to strengthen project management,schedule optimization and integration of resources,and to accelerate the development of the enterprise.As CNOOC headquarter proposed cost deceasing and effect increasing,the company rapidly starts business refinement management camping in the enterprise wide.In response to it,the author proposed to setup an interface platform to connect SAP and P6 in order to improve the ability of information integration and support management of refinement and standardization in facilities and equipment maintenance project.In this paper,the real interface platform of enterprise information system projects is used as the starting point and to studies and analyses the SAP and P6 system by reading the reference documents and attaching the real cases and charts in order to describe the theoretical knowledge.It focuses on the SAP in RFC,BAPI,ALE/ and IDoc interface technology,also the P6 in the JCo and Web Services are introduced;then through the actual business process and demands of maintenance department,combined with the current industry practice to analysis the function and business requirements,then decided to use Microsoft BizTalk Server to build the interface platform;after determining the scheme of unifying SAP ALE/IDoc and RFC technologies with P6 Web Services technology,a detailed design of how to carry out of data in BizTalk platform is introduced;finally,through a large number of screenshots to illustrate how to deploy SAP,P6,and BizTalk interfaces to the actual business environment.This paper emphatically introduces the characteristics and design mindset of SAP,P6 and BizTalk in order to discuss the heterogeneous systems integration,and to provide useful reference to reduce Information Isolated Island for enterprises.
