Research On The Selection Of National Central Cities Based On Social Network Analysis

Social network analysis(SNA)is a kind of social science research methods that began to become popular in recent years.This theory holds that society is not only made up by individuals but also by networks.By abstracting actor into a point,the relationship between the actors into a line,social network analysis explores the structure and characteristics of the network through the analysis of relationship in the network.During the new period,the development of China's economy has come to a transitional period,The national urban system will be also taken into consideration from a new perspective.Since 2010,the state has confirmed 8 national central cities by focusing on its influence on domestic development.These cities are on the highest level of urban system in China that are proposed in outline of national urban system planning.The construction of the national central cities is from the strategic level,planning the development of China in the next 20-50 years,so the choice of the national central cities has become a particularly important task.This paper first introduces the social network analysis method,and then by introducing a gravity model between cities ,analyzes 98 cities ranking in 2016 Chinese GDP.It finally selectes four center cities and provides suggestions for the construction of national urban system.
