Study On The Competition Strategy Of IBJ Leasing(China)Co.,Ltd.

Financial Leasing,or we can called it Equipment Leasing or Modern Leasing,which combines the two models of “finance”and “equipment”,is a new financial method differs from the traditional credit institutions such as banks.It has become the third popular financing model following banks and securities.Since the China's opening up,as the economy thrives,the modern leasing appears in the year1981.After the slow development of more than two decades,with the Administration Rules on Financial Leasing launched in 2007,the financial leasing industry entered a new phase of fast development leading by the bank line financial leasing companies.Financial Leasing plays an significant role in modern economy.Yet China is undergoing a stage of simple financial leasing comparing to the developed countries,with the problems of undefined industry character,risky company liquid,lack of innovation,etc..For the financial leasing companies,it is vital to make a correct competition strategy to avoid failure in the market.IBJ Leasing(China)Co.,Ltd.started in Shanghai,2008 as a financial foreign-invested leasing company specialized in the financial leasing business.It is monitored by the Ministry of Commerce,PRC.For the purpose of the company's sustainable development and dealing with the increasing market competition,it must make its own competition strategy and get on a differentiate path via innovation.Taking IBJ as the research object,this paper uses the PEST Model to analyze the macro environment of IBJ and finds out that the company is in an environment with severe competence.After reading numerous literature and investigating the company,the author also analyzed IBJ's inner environment.Then she used SWOT Model to explore IBJ's advantage and disadvantage in competence.With theknowledge about strategy management the author acquired,she reveals that a single competence strategy was no longer suitable for the company's development thus she chose a multiple competence strategy with differentiation plus centralization.To make sure the execution of this strategy,the company also should build a complete human resource management system,enhance the IT system construction,improve employee's perception and strengthen the trans-department collaboration.The paper contains 4 chapters.The first chapter introduced the research background,its meaning and research method.The second chapter used the strategic method of SWOT to analyze the developing situation of IBJ and the problems it was facing.Chapter three used PEST method to study the competition situation of the financial leasing industry.Based on the analyses of former chapters,the last chapter built a suitable competition strategy for IBJ,set a clear goal and pointed out how to sustain it.
