The Study On Financial Performance Evaluation In Chinese Foundaion From The Perspective Of Stakeholders

As an independent part in non-profit organization,the Foundation carries both ruling-by-law thought and philanthropy spirit,so it is the main force in social and public welfare undertakings of nonprofit organizations.Of course,except for the huge achievements obtained by the Foundation within such as short time,what shocked the society also contains the frequently occurred charity scandal,which seriously influences the credibility of foundation in society.So why do these problems emerge in foundation? Is it caused by improper management,information disclosure,supervision,or others? All these are.But in the end,it is the result of three major inherent shortages of non-profit organization,and so does the Foundation;But how to make up for the three inherent shortages? From the perspective of non-profit organizational development in western countries,as a link of governance,evaluation contributes to solving the problems in non-profit organizations.It is a pity that,although the existing Chinese evaluation solutions involve in extensive scopes,they are not thorough enough;particularly that,their evaluation of foundation financial performance is insufficient.Even if domestic existing researches cover the exploration of establishing foundation financial performance evaluation system,only a few implement financial performance evaluation from stakeholders' perspective.In view of this,this paper sets up foundation financial performance evaluation system from stakeholders' perspective,which not only enriches financial performance evaluation research,but also accords with internal and external stakeholders' demands for judgment respectively.Based on summarizing predecessors' research achievements,this paper takes financial performance evaluation as starting point;it establishes foundation financial performance evaluation system according to the features of foundation stakeholders,and applies this system to specific case—One Foundation.To be specific,it firstly carries out horizontal analysis by taking 21 foundations in the same category and then conducts vertical analysis based on the recent 5 years' financial data in One Foundation,so as to reflect the change of One Foundation during development,advantages and shortcomings.Finally,by means of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,this paper implements financial performance evaluation on One Foundation,compares the horizontal as well as vertical analysis results with comprehensive evaluation,summarizes the problems in One Foundation,and proposes corresponding suggestions.Through the research,this paper constructs the foundation financial performance evaluation system,and introduces it into the specific case--One Foundation.The evaluation results reflect the defects of One Fundation in terms of the diversity of the financing channels,the stability of the donation income and financing efficiency.The evaluation results also confirm the validity of the foundation financial performance evaluation system constructed by this paper.
