An Applied Study Of BIM5D-based Cost Management In Construction Phase

There have been some problems existed in the construction industry of China,such as high cost,high energy consumption and extensive mode of management,etc.However,as the main part to implement construction projects,one of the main reasons attributed to the phenomena is the low level of cost management by the general construction contractors.The application of BIM technology has been considered a solution to the problem.Although BIM5 D,as the specific deepened application of the cost management during construction phase,has already been preliminarily applied in projects,the matching management organization and unclear workflow causes problems for its following application of depth.The thesis combines the theory of cost management and BIM5 D theory to propose a BIM5D-based organization structure for cost management on the analysis of problems in the cost management during the BIM5 D construction phase.And the thesis makes a research on the implementation process and methods of the five core works of cost management.Finally through the case analysis,the thesis concludes the effect of BIM5 D in practical projects,providing guidance and reference for later research and application.This thesis first makes a summary of related extension policies and the application of BIM5 D in general construction contractors of China,and pinpoints the problems the general construction contractors face when they apply BIM5 D to cost management during the construction phase,for example,the lack of matching frame and workflow of management organization,professionals and available software to meet the work demands.On the basis of such a situation,the thesis mainly studies the application of cost management based on the BIM5 D construction phase.The thesis next breaks up the cost management based on BIM5 D construction phase according to different dimensions.Based on the results,the thesis classifies the cost management and duties of the general construction contractors and proposes the organization structures of cost management based on BIM5 D during construction phase in accordance with organization structure theories.According to the objectives of the BIM5 D cost management during construction phase,the thesis provides suggestions of software configuration and the platform framework.The thesis combs the workflow of five core works of cost management during construction phase and proposes related measures.Finally,the thesis takes the parking garage project in Hangzhou for example to conduct a case study upon the cost management on the basis of BIM5 D during construction phase.Through the demonstration of the project's framework of management organization,standard of work implementation and results of work,the thesis proves the feasibility of the cost management based on BIM5 D,and gives the analysis of its effects and inadequacies,providing references for the cost management of later projects.
