Research On The Performance Evaluation System Of Product Development Of Chinese Textile Enterprises

Textile industry is a traditional pillar industry of China's national economy,an important livelihood industry and an industry with comparative advantages.It integrates technology with fashion and promotes simultaneously clothing consumption and the consumption of technical textiles,and it plays an important role in prospering the market,creating new jobs,increasing people' income,speeding up the process of urbanization and promoting social harmonious development,etc.Textile production development is a process in which textile fibers are turned into creative new products or conventional products(including filament,yarn,thread,cord,fabric)are innovatively modified by using spinning,weaving,dyeing and finishing technologies.It includes a series of decision-making processes from selecting products that can cater to the need on market to product design,process design and production,and ultimately make the finished products satisfy people's both material and cultural needs.The capability of product development plays key supporting role in sharpening the competitive edge of China's textile industry,and developing new textile products is one of the important paths for turning China 's textile industry from big to strong in terms of science&technology,talents and independent brands and realize sustainable development.The paper first reviews and analyzes the current situation of textile product development in China and based on summing up the characteristlics,modes and existing problerms of textile product development in China,it points out that performance evaluation plays important role in assessing the product development capability of textile enterprises.Then,by using comparative law,it reviews the status-quo of the theoretical study on performance evaluation system for new product development both at home and abroad and consequently fries to construct a scientific and operable product development performance evaluation system for Chinese textile enterprises.Finally,with the help of case study,it verifies the effectiveness and the significance for promotion of the said system.
