Research On Business Transformation Of XM Securities Company

China is experiencing a period of deep structural reform.All types of economic activities are being conducted under this new circumstance.Given this transition economy background,the capital market faces both opportunities and challenges.Despite the huge potential opportunities for further development,securities companies in China have long been struggling with some problems,including single source of income,high internal risk,lacking innovation capability,and highly vulnerable to risks.Therefore,the priority task that many companies face is to accurately identify the direction for future development,solve both the internal and external problems mentioned above,and achieve the business transformation.XM is state-owned middle scale Securities Company.Figuring out how to achieve business transformation is essential to the company's long-run sustainable development.This paper analyzes the business transformation of XM by investigating both the current situation of the development of Chinese securities companies and the history and experiences of the U.S.securities companies.This paper will demonstrate the current problems faced by XM by examining the history of the business development of securities companies in the U.S.,and by incorporating into the analysis my own experience as an employee of securities companies and the theories I learned from my management of business classes.Based on the analysis of the macroeconomic environment and SWOT approach,this paper suggests the following strategies: expanding the currently covered area,reaching out more clients;enhancing the innovation capability,achieving business diversification;securing the business transformation by adopting differential management strategies;making financial strategic plans at the grand enterprise development level.Four specific suggestions:exploring the potential of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area;following the “one belt one road” grand strategy and developing overseas business;adopting a differential management strategy;pursuing mixed business pattern and achieving conglomeration.
