With the development of economy and the acceleration of urbanization in our country, more and more rural labor force breaks the shackles of urban household registration system and begins to migrate into cities. As a result, the left behind children,as the logical product of the rural labor force in the process of industrialization and urbanization, have been widely concerned by the media, government and scholars. In fact, after years of growth, this part of the left behind children has become the new generation of migrant workers.Correspondingly,a series of difficulties faced by this part of the population, low income and poor working environment, work flow, social security, narrow psychological barriers and low identity. This paper selects one of the perspectives, using the survey data of Beijing in 2015,focusing on the impact of childhood experience on the income level of the new generation of migrant workers.Using the propensity score inverse weighting method to correct the bias of the sample,we can find that :First, the left-behind experience does have obvious income effect.Compared to the sample without left behind experience, the left-behind experience will have a significant negative impact on the income level of adult, and this effect has obvious gender differences. On average, there are 0.924 times of the monthly income of the new generation of migrant workers left behind than their peers.Second, different forms and time of left-behind have different effects.Completely left-behind is greater than some of the left behind, the long-term left-behind is greater than the short-term.This result indicates the importance of the left-behind form and the time.Third, between gender and left behind form as well as the left behind time,it is found that the different gender of the new generation of migrant workers experienced a significant difference.Specifically, women's income levels were significantly affected by the left behind in childhood. Therefore,we suggest that we should give full play to the leading role of government, perfect the education system of school management and strengthen the supervision and management of the family,in order to create a good environment for the growth of left-behind children. At the same time,we should be focus on different left behind experience and adopt different policies.
