This paper uses the data CFPS(2010-2014)to estimate the extent of International Income Mobility in a framework that highlights the role played by Education. Also uses the International Income Mobility Index and Intergenerational Income Elasticity to analyze the characteristics of residents in China, and use the Path Analysis,OLS regression and Quantile Regression to probe the Net Influence of education on Intergenerational Income Mobility, and compare the difference in IGE on different quantiles. Then gives the explanation to the results. The results show that Intergenerational Income Elasticity is 0.179(p<0.01),and the Net Influence of education on Intergenerational Income Mobility accounts for 15.9% of the total influence, and it is different in region(urban or rural),gender, and income group. It implies that the indirect influence of father's log income-child log income is smaller than that of direct influence. For the rural sample, the IGE is 0.17(p<0.01),a little lower than that of the urban residents, which is 0.19(p<0.01).It indicates that the Intergenerational Income Mobility of rural residents is lower than that of urban residents. And for the rural sample,Net Influence of education on Intergenerational Income Mobility accounts for 13.43%.But for the urban samples, the Net Influence of education on Intergenerational Income Mobility is 25.20%,much larger than that of rural residents. For the difference across gender,in the model of Intergenerational Income Mobility, the IGE for female is 0.164(p<0.01),the IGE for male is 0.185(p<0.01).And the Net Influence accounts for 30.02% for female, but 12.25% for male, which suggests that daughters rely on father's income more than sons at the stage of education attainment, but daughters rely on self-human capital more than sons at the stage of labor market return. In summary, the intergenerational income mobility of father-daughter is larger than father-son,and the daughter's net influence of education is larger than that of sons.So the promoting effect of education is much larger for female and urban residents.
