With the rapid development of Internet finance industry in recent years,bank's traditional business model and profit model has been greatly affected.Banks have relied on the Internet to explore new customer groups and market segments,provide new products and services,change business processes and sources of profit,which is implementation of "Internet+" business model innovation.But different banks showed different speed of action,innovation initiatives and innovation effectiveness to implement "Internet +" business model innovation.Seen from this reality,this paper points out one critical research question:"what key factors influenced Bank's 'Internet +' business model innovation".In view of this problem,based on the latest literature research on the business model innovation,bank "Internet +" and other domestic and foreign literatures,I selected three banks(ICBC?CBC?PingAn bank)as representative study subjects.And then analyzed these data based on the grounded theory research and cross case study,this research got the following three main conclusions:Firstly,Six key factors influencing the innovation of "Internet +" business model of the three major banks include environment-driven,strategic prospect,strategic planning layout,customer orientation,operation and management model optimization,and resource advantages.These six factors belong to four major categories that affect the bank innovation:environment driven is external factor;strategic prospect and strategic planning layout are top design factors;customer oriented and operation management pattern optimization are concept organization factors;resource superiority is resource support factor.Secondly,Based on the analysis of the relations and status of six key factors,the paper got the model of key factors influencing bank's business model innovation:environment-driven is external factor that influence business model innovation.In the internal five factors,strategic prospect is the primary and in the core Status,resource advantages provide a comprehensive basis for innovation,strategic planning layout provide a clear action strategy,customer orientation can carry out the correct guidance in the concept of operation and management pattern optimization can provide organizational security.Thirdly,the theoretical model of this study is in line with the three-stage capability of business model innovation—"insight,capture and reconfiguration"model and the framework of "strategy—resource/ability—business model innovation".However,the findings of this study also reveal the role of user orientation and external environmental drivers in the context of "Internet +" and the specific research objects of bank industry.Based on above analysis,this paper points out five management suggestions to "Internet +" innovation of banks,which are:strategic foresight,optimize layout,idea change,system reform,capacity building and resource matching.Finally the paper points out the shortcomings of this study and the future research direction.
