A Empirical Study On The Influence Of Knowledge Factor On China’s Export Trade

Since the 21 st century,human race has entered the era of "knowledge economy" which regards knowledge as the most important factor of production in society today.The arrival of knowledge economy has brought significant changes to the international trade.The proportion of knowledge-intensive products and services in the trade gradually increased.The knowledge has become an important factor in the comparative advantage of international trade.China’s total export reelected the first in the world in 2015,but China was in a relatively inferior position about the knowledge-intensive products and services trade compared to the United States and other developed countries.In this context,the study of the impact of knowledge factor on China’s export trade has a certain guiding significance to the expansion of China’s export trade scale and the optimization of export trade structure.On the basis of summing up the domestic and foreign research and classical theories which are related to knowledge and trade,this paper has combined qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to study the impact of knowledge factor on China’s export trade.This article has studied the connotation of knowledge factor,the specific expression of knowledge "rent" and the influence mechanism of knowledge factor on export trade from the qualitative point of view.This paper also has described the status quo of knowledge level and China’s export trade.This paper has used the principal component analysis method to determine the weight of the index to calculate the knowledge index of China from 1994 to 2015.And then the paper use the knowledge index and China’s export trade data to make the stability,co-integration and Granger causality test,the results show that knowledge factor has a long-term equilibrium relationship with China’s export trade,and the knowledge factor Granger Cause the structure and the scale of goods export trade.The results of the impulse response and variance analysis of the VAR model and one-dimensional regression show that Knowledge factor can indeed optimize the export trade structure of goods and increase the share of knowledge-intensive products,and promote the expansion of export trade scale in goods and services.Finally,this paper has put forward some countermeasures and suggestions from the national level and the enterprise level respectively according to the empirical results of the influence of knowledge elements on China’s export trade.
