Research On Competitiveness Evaluation Of China’s Manufacturing Industry

Manufacturing plays as the backbone and engine of nation’s economic development.The economic growth and comprehensive strength of a country or an area heavily relies on the development of manufacturing. It also determines the comprehensive competitiveness of a country. With the rapid development of our country’s economy and more enthusiasm in participating in the international competition ,manufacturing has grown up quickly which has already made us as a big manufacturing country. However, there are still many problems,such as weakly innovative ability and unbalanced regional development. It has become a urgent problem that how to evaluate a region’s manufacturing competitiveness by recognizing the gap between different areas and find effective ways to solve it.Firstly , we analyze the present situation of the study from the background and research status of manufacturing competitiveness by comparing the research methods employed by other researchers. And build the specific methods and research ideas for the whole paper.Secondly ,the factors which affect the manufacturing competitiveness from inside and outside are elaborated and analytical methods often used are briefly introduced. On the basis of the deeply analysis of the manufacturing competitiveness theory, the manufacturing competitiveness evaluation index system and fuzzy evaluation model are built.Taking Heilongjiang province as an example, the paper provides an empirical research by using the manufacturing industry competitiveness evaluation model established in front by using the country’s manufacturing data collected by the National Bureau of Statistics, 2015 Statistical Yearbook 2014.It is found in the analysis that technological innovation, quality of labor,industrial policy, economic development, environmental protection capacity constraints are most important factors restricting further development of the manufacturing.Finally, the paper gives some relevant suggestions for the manufacturing industry in Heilongjiang Province to improve competitiveness, as well as puts forward practical recommendations and corresponding measures for implementation and control of China’s manufacturing industry development strategy.
