Hybrid Sheep Breeding Business Plan

In recent years,the price of mutton continues increasing rapidly.It reflects the lack of lamb production capacity and tight supply imbalance.Therefore,this project plans to establish a standardized scale of fleshy sheep production base.The production base is located in Huaiyang County of Henan Province,where has abundant crop straw,reducing the cost of fleshy sheep production effectively.We choose Small-tailed Han sheep as female parent and Dorper sheep as male parent for hybridization.The hybrid offspring of lamb with the production characteristics of fast growth,strong adaptability,high feed conversion,and meat delicacy.This is very beneficial for standardization and scale production of quality lamb.Utilization of modern agricultural science and technology was using in the project for production management.Establish sheep genetic lineages.Using the conventional breeding technology and sheep fecundity gene molecular genetic marker assisted selection.Constructing a three levels Pyramid shaped breeding system,which contains core populations,breeding populations,and production populations.Using artificial insemination technique and animal estrus control technique to establish a standardization lamb production management program.According to the sheep nutrition standards,utilizing straw silage and ammonification technique,we are able to establish a standardization feeding formula and standardization feeding procedures.Establishhealth prevention system,which contains environmental disinfection,immunization,insecticide bath,segregation of sick sheep,to control the risk of outbreaks.In July 2014,the project will start the construction of production base,and introduce 400 Small-tailed Han sheep ewes.Based on the characteristics of sheep breeding,the first five years of the project can be divided into three production phases in order to facilitate operational planning and financial analysis.From the project start to a year and a half,when the first batch of lamb slaughter,is divided into the first production phase.This phase plans to produce 520 lambs.Then each phase has two years,there are 8 months in each production cycle,so each phase consists of three production cycle.The second and third phase will expand the scale by seeding,and will respectively increase to 1000 breeding ewes and 1900 breeding ewes.The project plans to invest 2,000,000 RMB,farm infrastructure budget 515,000 RMB,520,000 RMBfor the purchase of breeding ewes and stud rams,ready liquidity 965,000 RMB.Three phases respectively products 520,4180,and 8430 lambs,in first five years.Liquidity surplus will respectively reach 555,400 RMB,1,956,200 RMB and 5,201,000 RMB,atthe end of 2015,2017 and 2019.The project conforms to the national agricultural policy,will enhance the efficiency of crop straw resources.It also can help the surrounding farmers increase income,and increase market supply of mutton products.Therefore,this project has important social,economic and environmental benefits.
