World and regional economic integration is an objective and inevitable trend of developing countries, and it is the factor which makes economic and trade relations between countries increasingly closer. Therefore, foreign economic policy is regarded by the Vietnamese government as an important issue of economic development and strategy, especially for bilateral relations with major countries such as China. With the development of diplomatic relations between the two countries, trade relations are also growing in order to meet the needs of production and consumption in Vietnam and to promote the Vietnamese economy which has made significant contributions to growth. But with the growth of trade between the two countries,Vietnam-China trade deficit has gradually become apparent, and to a certain extent, this problem will hinder or even jeopardize the stable development of Sino-Vietnamese trade relations.Consequently, the issue of trade deficit has received a lot of attention from Vietnamese scholars, economists and the Government. It can be said that the study and the search for solutions for this issue has a great significant value.According to the Vietnamese General Administration of Customs Statistics,in recent years Vietnam's growing trade deficit with China has become more critical, and it makes the Vietnamese economy to a large extent too dependent on China. Therefore, losing its initiative on the macroeconomic balance and sustainable economic development has a significantly negative impact. The trade deficit not only has a negative impact on Vietnam, but also has a negative impact on China which is in a favorable position. In order to provide a comprehensive overview of the trade deficit problem between Vietnam and China, this paper analyzes the economic and trade index,GDP index and investment cooperation between Vietnam and China from 2000 to 2016,and compares the two countries' trade strengths and influences.Through research,I believe that to solve the trade deficit between Vietnam and China, can not simply from the deficit side of the Vietnamese single effort, which requires the cooperation of the two countries can be completely resolved. Therefore, while promoting the development of trade between the two countries, the Chinese government should make some guidance to promote the sale of Vietnamese goods in the Mainland, encourage and increase the Vietnamese exports to China. In addition, the Chinese side should also support Chinese enterprises to invest in Societe Generale, and also willing to Vietnam enterprises to open up the market to create more convenient conditions. This will not only promote the rapid development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, but also resolve the future trade relations imbalance will play a role.In short, the trade balance between China and Vietnam can only be resolved with the joint efforts of both sides.
