Research On The Upgrading Of Consumption Structure Of Urban Residents In Jiangsu Under The Background Of Well-off Construction

Residents' consumption structure reflects the quality of both people's standard of living and a country or a region's economic development.Since the 13 th Five-Year Plan period,China has entered the decisive stage of building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.Promoting upgrading of the residents' consumption structure,not only helps speed up changing the way of economic development in China,but also effects goal achievement of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects which is one of the two 100-year goals.This essay focuses on the upgrading features of Jiangsu urban residents' consumption structure under the monitoring of building a moderately prosperous society,and comparative analysis of residents' consumption structure among south Jiangsu,middle and north Jiangsu area.Then we find that construction process of a moderately prosperous society and upgrading of the residents' consumption structure both presented increasing and gradation features,but while the monitoring system of a moderately prosperous society doesn't match the residents' consumption structure analysis exactly.Considering limitations above-mentioned,this essay researches the consumption Gini coefficient of Jiangsu overall and regional urban residents.Three main conclusions have been drawn as follows: Firstly,the gap of Jiangsu urban residents' consumption narrows,while developmental consumption has been the major factor causing the difference;Secondly,the consumption gap is lower inner the regions than that of among regions;Thirdly,the equilibrium degree of development is the fundamental cause of the consumption gap.Based on residents' consumption data in Jiangsu from 1996 to 2015,this paper analyzes urban residents' consumption structure evolution characteristics from different angles and draws inspiration from Japan and Korea.Finally,this essay provides some policy advice to promote the upgrade of Jiangsu urban residents' consumption structure.
