With the rapid advancement of industrialization and urbanization and the economic and social transformation,the urban and rural production elements configuration changes continuously,and the contradiction between human and land is increasingly prominent in China.Itis the basic requirement of balancing urban and rural areas to guide the resources in a balanced allocation between urban and rural,and to promote the integration of urban-rural development.Howto allocate urban and rural land resources reasonably and effectively is particularly important.Needless to say,urban-rural development transformation is bound to changetheland use types and allocation patterns as the main space carrier of human social economic activities,especially to change the use of construction landas a foundation for non-agricultural economic production life,and it leads to urban-rural construction land(URCL)transformation.Based on the research of the existed land use transformation,the URCLtransformation can be defined as the changes in urban-rural construction land use morphology of a certainregionover a certain period of time driven by socio-economic change and innovation,including two formats of dominant morphology and recessive morphology.From the perspective of land use transition,on the basis of the construction of URCL transformation theoretical analysis frameworkat county scale,the study analyzed the spatial-temporal characteristicsof URCLtransformation from two aspects of dominant morphology and recessive morphology of Tongzhou in Jiangsu Province during 2001 to 2014 based on remote sensing data of land use and social-economic statistical data.Then,the study analyzed driving mechanism through selecting the main factors affecting the transformation.Finally,the study put forward the countermeasures suggestions about URCLtransformation regulation at county scale.The main research contentsare as follows:(1)On the basis of understanding the land use transition concept deeply,the study analyzed the connotation of URCL transformation concept scientifically,and parsed the URCL transformationconnecting with the person relations theory,regional development theory and the land use transition theory,constructedthe URCL transformation theoretical analysis framework at county scale.(2)From the two aspects of dominant morphology and recessive morphology,the study analyzed the spatial-temporal characteristics of URCL transformation at county scale takethe eastern coastal rapid industrialization and urbanizationcountyTongzhou in Jiangsu Provinceas the study area with the perspective of the URCL numeral-classifier structure,the sources and spatial distribution patterns,using 2001,2010,2014 three remote sensing data andsocial-economic statistical data.(3)Based on clarifyingthe spatial-temporal characteristics of URCL transformation at county scale,we extracted reasonable driving factors from the aspects of natural and social-economic and then analyzed the driving mechanism quantitativelyusing the method of canonical correlation analysis.Finally,weput forward the countermeasures suggestions about URCL transformation regulation at county scale.Through the research,the conclusion includes that:(1)From the aspect of dominant morphology,the total scale of URCL was increasingrapidly from 2001 to 2014.The main increase was rural residentialland,the average annual growth rate was far more than urban industrial land.A large number of mining land reduce led to negative growth in urban industrial land in 2001-2010,but urban industrial land increase at a rate of more than of rural residential land in 2010-2014.The major source of added URCL was farmland,especiallycame from cultivated land.The phenomenon of cultivated land occupied by construction land has slowed.URCL reduced mainly by the rural residential land reclamation,61.51% was reclaimed into cultivated land.The trend of URCL transfer into cultivated land was rising,but turned out for the area of cultivated land has fallen dramatically.Based kernel density estimation on GIS of URCL results showed,each density zone of URCL was distributed in a way of scattered concentration,and the degree of aggregation was strengthening.Distribution density presents the overall spatial characteristic that the central region was denser than the surrounding area,and the difference was significant.The density degree of the distribution was obvious to expand to the eastern and southern regions.(2)From the aspect of recessive morphology,the overall efficiency of URCL use increases,and the average annual utilization efficiency were increasing,but the growth rate is decreasing.The economic function,social function and environmental function of URCL have been continuously enhanced,and the overall function of URCL was constantly rising.The growth rate of economic function was accelerated obviously,but the growth rate of social function was obviously decreased,the growth rate of environmental function was rising constantly.However,the social function and environmental function were significantly lower than the economic function.(3)From the aspect ofdriving mechanism,theoretically,URCL transformation not only restrained natural conditions basically,but also complexly impressed by the social-economic factors such as market power,policy force and cultural power.Through analyzing the driving mechanism of URCL transformation through canonical correlation in the two period of 2001-2010 and 2010-2014 of Tongzhou,we can find out:(1)URCL dominant transformation is mainly influenced by regional economic development,industrial development is still strong demand for construction land,policy system plays an important regulation role in the development of URCL;(2)In URCL recessive transformation the efficiency transformation is closely related to the industrial structure optimization,the increase of the tertiary industry output value demand for construction land is relatively weak than the second industry.At the same time,the population factors play a controlling role in URCL transformation,the development ofURCL must ensure the food security.(4)In order to promote the URCL intensive,efficient and sustainable utilization,the urban-rural land cadastral investigation should be carried out to strengthen the data base of URCL regulation.The county “multiple planning integration” should be promotedactively to promote theland-use plancontrolling ability of URCL transformation.Land management system should beexplored and innovated to enrich the marketregulation pathway of the URCL transformation.
