Research On The Bubble In The Process Of Urbanization In Guangxi

With the development of urbanization in new era,a great achievement has been found in the development of urban development.This not only fuels the Chinese economic and social growth,but also helps to resolve the contradictions between urban and rural areas.Though the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has sustained its growth momentum,many problems have emerged in the current urbanization model.When it comes to solutions,the focus shall be placed around population,economy,space,public service,environment etc.Afterwards,a systematic and scientific analysis shall be taken to these problems by urbanization.This thesis is developed from a bubble perspective to provide specific measures,based on some key principals,firstly,to compare the universal rules in financial market bubble to that in real estate one;secondly,by leveraging the relevant current theories and analyzing the situation of urbanization in Guangxi to probe any possible reasons behind this;thirdly,to try to describe and measure the issues from the perspective of urbanization bubble.The thesis adopts empirical methodology.Before to define the level of public service and environment from entropy evaluation method,to explain the meaning of selected metrics.Ultimately,the bubble situation in Guangxi from 2005 to 2015 will be measured and analyzed from five aspects allocated in four quadrants,the urbanization of population,that of space,that of economy,that of public service and that of environment.The study demonstrates that there are three options that may trigger the bubble of urbanization.Firstly,the metrics of urbanization development lags behind those of population urbanization speed;secondly,the economy is still under development due to historical issues or not able to catch development opportunity,meanwhile a lack of positive interaction among industries results in a weak base and unfueled development momentum;thirdly,certain aspects in the development of urbanization have become lagged behind,which results in the negative bubble of urbanization.Given the horizontal analysis in Guangxi region and the vertical analysis nationally several conclusions have been made,so as to explain the features of the bubble of urbanization in Guangxi.Firstly,most cities in Guangxi have been found different degrees of urbanization bubble.The bubble of population urbanization is the least one,that of economy is the worst one,and that of space,public service and environment has gradually emerged;Secondly,the worst bubble of urbanization has been found in the west of Guangxi where there are a diverse resources.The economy developed cities have less bubbles in such areas as population,space and economy,but more bubbles in public service and environment.And generally speaking tourism cities perform better.Thirdly,compared to nationwide,the population bubble in Guangxi is relatively less,the public service one is worse,the space one performs neck and neck,and the economy one and environment one have significant difference.Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical results,the thesis put forward several solutions to tackle with the bubbles in Guangxi.Firstly,to stick to people as the core and improve the quality of population;secondly,to regulate the relationship between urban and rural areas;thirdly,to integrate and consolidate industries according to the features in Guangxi region;fourthly,to implement the policy of scientific industry development,and execute brand new urbanization approach.
