Urbanization is an important force in regional economic and social development, and hasattracted widespread attention and discussion in government and academia. In the context ofrapid urbanization, as an important part of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Region, theresearch of Hebei Province Urbanization has important practical significance.The research of urbanization issues usually come from level and speed of Urbanization,namely, static and dynamic development perspective to measure the urbanization of a region.Firstly, introducing the definition of level and speed of urbanization, and explaining themeaning of urbanization and the general laws.Secondly, build an evaluation system includingeconomic indicators,demographic indicators, social indicators, environmental indicators andland indicators, using entropy value method for analysis and appraisal, and on this basis thebarrier factor analysis found hinder comprehensive level of urbanization in Hebei factor.Again, the rate of urbanization in Hebei Province were assessment, focuses on populationtrends of urbanization rate of speed that is reasonable and, while it was predicted, and the rateof urbanization has been integrated measurement and assessment, and the main conclusions:Hebei population urbanization rate in China under the current environment is a whole bigbackground and adapt to economic growth, unhappiness is not slow, but has been a rapiddevelopment stage of the inflection point, growth will be slowed, will advance in the next1～1.17percentage points. Also integrated urbanization significantly faster than populationurbanization rate, and there are obvious differences in the speed of the various subsystems.Finally, according to the analysis, the overall rate of urbanization in Hebei Province isappropriate, and more importantly, to further enhance the quality of urbanization, therefore,according to the results of the factor analysis of barriers, targeted on the promotion ofurbanization suggestions: strengthen urban development industry support; optimize urbanlayout and form, to further improve the urban agglomeration capacity; improve the ecologicalquality of the environment, intensify environmental protection; actively promote urbanemployment, raise living standards.
