In 2016, China's passenger vehicle sales reached 23.59 million, has increased 16.8% over last year. China is the world's largest passenger vehicle sales market.However, compared with foreign developed countries,China's passenger vehicle logistics mode is still back ward relatively with high proportion of road transportation,while the trunk transportation mode like rail transportation and ro-ro transportation accounted for a low proportion at the same time. Over the years the illegal conversion of truck means not only affected the normal order of the society, but also restricted the normal development of passenger vehicle rail and ro-ro industry. With the implementation of the new GB1589 in 2018, the cost of passenger vehicles road mode will be greatly increased, and trunk mode will become the main mode of passenger vehicle logistics.In order to provide a more comprehensive logistics mode selection and decision basis to the majority of vehicle manufacturers and their passenger vehicle logistics providers, this paper summarizes the development status of passenger vehicle logistics in domestic and abroad and the problems faced by domestic passenger vehicle logistics industry. To research and analyze the theory as well as methods related to logistics planning and design. According to the market situation of Hangzhou F-company besides the specific calculation, analysis and comparison of the objectives regarding logistics cost, delivery and carbon dioxide emissions, puts forward the differences and applicable scope between the road mode and trunk mode.Through the excavation, statistics and analysis of the logistics characteristic data, gets lots of general rules. For example, the logistics cost of the trunk transportation is related to the 5 factors of GB1589, straight distance, the length of the terminal distribution distance, the ratio of the terminal distribution distance and the logistics return status, the logistics time of the trunk transportation is related to the 2 factors of straight distance, transport quantity, the carbon emission of the trunk transportation has an absolute advantage, and so on.
