On February 4,2016,12 countries including the United States,Japan,South Korea signed an agreement of TPP in New Zealand. The 12 countries account for 40 percent of global economic economy nowadays, and China is not on the list of participating countries,so TPP may have an important impact on China,Asia-Pacific region and world's trade.Malaysia ranks the twenty largest country in the world trade.Electromechanical products in Malaysia and China at a similar stage of development,it is also similar in resource endowments, industrial level, the export structure, technological level and etc.China and Malaysia's electromechanical products exports will be affected due to the"zero-tariff,high standards.China and Malaysia's electromechanical products mainly exports to the United States,so focus on the United States, analysis the influence of Malaysia joined the TPP on China's elecromechianical products exports is meaningful. This paper aims to study the competition, complementarity and developing trends of electromechanical products between China and Malaysia, from the whole to specific categories, and quantifies the impact of TPP on the specific categories of China's electromechanical industry. On the bases of revising the theory of customs union, free trade zone, industrial transfer and industrial upgrading, regional economic integration and the literature on mechanical and electrical products and introduction of TPP,analysis the influence of Malaysia joined the TPP on China's electromechanical products exports. From analysing China's and Malaysia's electromechanical products' total volume of trade, export structure, trade partners and contrast of import and export trade, summary the characteristics of the two countries's electromechanical products exports.Focus on the American market, measure ESI of China's and Malaysia's electromechanical products in the market of United States, analysis the electromechanical products' competition, complementarity in the market of United States.Develop an empirical model based on the elasticity of substitution to quantify the impact of TPP on the specific categories of China's electromechanical industry. Finally from the macroscopic and microscopic two angles puts forward relevant policy Suggestions. The ESI measurement results shows that electromechanical products from China and Malaysia in the market of United States is in competition generally speaking. The competition in Chapter 718(power-generating machinery and parts thereof,n.e.s.),Chapter 727(food-processing machines, excluding domestic;parts thereof),Chapter 751(officemachines),Chapter 759(parts and accessories suitable for use solely or principally with machines falling withing group 751 and 752),Chapter 763(sound recording or reproducing apparatus;video recording or reproducing apparatus;whether or not incorporating a video tuner),Chapter 771(electric power machinery and parts thereof),Chapter 773(equipment for distributing electricity,n.e.s.),Chapter 784(parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of group 722,781,782 and 783),is very fierce. From the analysis of model based on the elasticity of substitution find, since malaysia joined TPP,the chapter 773,chapter 763 and chapter 771 equipment production and trade enterprises has received the biggest impact.Based on the above research results,From the macroscopic and microscopic two aspects puts forward policy suggestions to Chinese government and enterprises to cope with the effects of the TPP.
