A Study On The Scale,Structure And Competitiveness Of Rice Trade In China

At present,China's agricultural development is facing severe challenges,the implementation of the minimum purchase price and other government policy supporting agriculture based on agricultural production,although achieved even by twelve,but the agricultural import growth accelerated,export trade is facing the sharp reduction in the amount of the cycle.The strange phenomenon of increasing production in the field of agriculture,increasing the volume of three of the growth in stock and import.Rice as one of China's important food rations,as well as the current government to implement the reform of agricultural supply side needs.It is very necessary to analyze the international competitiveness of rice industry and the root causes that affect the change of rice industry competitiveness.This paper focuses on the analysis method for the study of the CMS framework,using UNCOMTRADE database 2000-2014 Chinese and the countries and regions of the world rice industry trade data,three time interval(2000-2004,2005-2009,2010-2014),from the changes in the international competitiveness of rice trade scale,structure and competitiveness of the three aspects of China rice industry the second source of change China competitiveness of rice industry,finally gives suggestions.This paper explores whether the rice industry due to the decline in the competitiveness of rice industry,which led to the development of rice industry is similar to other industries in agriculture.Firstly,it analyzes the present situation of rice production,consumption,inventory and trade in our country,and obtains the reality of "high growth,high import and high inventory".At the same time,based on the specific situation of China's rice foreign trade detailed analysis,this paper uses the modified CMS model from the trade scale(subdivided into supply factors and demand factors),trade structure(subdivided into structural factors)and trade competitiveness(subdivided into competitive factors)three aspects of a detailed study of 2000-2014 rice industry in China changes in international competitiveness.Secondly,the 2000-2014 is divided into three intervals(respectively 2000-2004,2005-2009 and 2010-2014),two-way trade decomposition of rice industry in China on the three intervals from two angles of import and export.Finally,it is concluded that the competitiveness of China's rice industry began to decline in 2005-2009;2000-2004,the competitiveness of China's rice industry has been gradually strengthened;2010-2014 years,the sharp decline in the competitiveness of China's rice industry.At last,the conclusion is drawn that the trade competitiveness of rice in our country is declining.By comparing with the price of rice producer in the main rice producing countries and exporting countries,it is found that the price disadvantage is the main reason why China's rice industry competitiveness is weaker than that of foreign countries.The high price of the root causes of the rapid rise in the cost of rice production in China,China's agricultural development has entered a high cost era,the rice industry is no exception.In addition,the government to the minimum purchase price of the main policy of the purchase price of the purchase of the policy is the cause of China's rice industry prices are another reason for the high.The minimum purchase price distort the market price,destroy the normal market supply and demand,is not conducive to the normal market price formation,resulting in skyrocketing food prices in a strange phenomenon.So it can be concluded that the price distortion caused by the rising of the price of rice is the two leading cause of the decline of rice trade competitiveness in China.Combined with the research results and the practical needs of the agricultural supply side structural reform,this paper finally gives some policy recommendations.Although the minimum purchase price as the main content of the existing problems in the purchase of the policy,but it is still retained better,it is the choice of fine tuning.In addition to other policies and measures to support the development of agricultural modernization,including rice,improving the agricultural competitiveness,not only fit the supply side structural reform to agriculture,but also to improve the international competitiveness of rice and rice farmers,including the need to improve the income level of farmers in reality.
