Research On The Influence Of Information Service Industry Development On The Transformation And Upgrading Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry

The information service industry as a product of the era of knowledge economy,characterized by its high technology content,high degree of industrial linkage and strong innovation ability,is widely penetrating various industries,plays a role of improving production efficiency,reducing the consumption of resources,rationalizing the allocation of resources,promoting the upgrading of the industrial structure.At present,our country is in the mid stage of industrialization and the economic development has entered a new norm.While the equipment manufacturing industry is a pillar industry in national economy,it has structural problems with weak capacity for independent innovation,overcapacity of low value-added industry and serious supply shortage of high value-added industry;thus,the upgrading of the industrial structure is urgently needed.Therefore,how to absorb and apply the information service industry to change the equipment manufacturing industry towards high value-added,highly processing,high intensive industry,and transform the pattern of economic development,is a major issue of the development of equipment manufacturing industry.Firstly,this paper analyzes the characteristics and the development of the information service industry and equipment manufacturing industry.According to the theory of upgrading industrial structure and combining with previous research results,we state the understanding of the transformation and upgrading of equipment manufacturing industry,which includes the improvement of the production and operation efficiency,the improvement of high value-added products and the heightening of the industrial structure.Secondly,the article analyzes the influencing factors of the equipment manufacturing industry upgrading and transformation,and elaborates three influence mechanism—the infiltration of information technology,deduction of information costs,and the improvement of production factors by which information service industry set influence on the transformation and upgrading of equipment manufacturing industry.Finally,this paper uses panel data of 29 provinces in the country from 2007 to 2015 to carry out the empirical analysis of equipment manufacturing industry's manufacturing upgrading,product upgrading and structural upgrading,and further contrasts the different behavior of information service industry on the transformation and upgrading of equipment manufacturing industry in the east,middle and west district.This paper divides the information service industry into two parts: information transmission service and software and information technology service.The data shows that the information transmission service has promoted the manufacturing upgrade,but has little influence on the product upgrade and structure upgrade.The development of software and information technology services has influence on the three aspects of equipment manufacturing industry,but the role has not been fully exerted.This paper argues that the possible reason is because the supply of software and information technology services itself needs to be improved and the equipment manufacturing industry has not fully absorb the software and information technology services.Therefore,this paper suggests that we should focus on the development of software and information technology services,improve the level of production-oriented information services,stimulate the equipment manufacturing industry's effective demand for information services,and strengthen the informationization of the equipment manufacturing enterprises.
