Under the environment of knowledge-driven economy era accelerating the process of economic globalization,enterprises are strongly aware of the fact that human resources management has become the key to maintain their advantages.As an important part of the incentive mechanism,competitive salary level is the essential factor for retaining talents in enterprises.A scientific and reasonable salary system can not only fully mobilize enthusiasm of the staff,improve job satisfaction,but also can effectively stimulate staffs' working potential and enhance cohesive forces in corporates as well.With the deepening of the reform of domestic financial system,the competitiveness of urban commercial banks has strengthened and the role they play in local economic development has been increasing.In addtion,urban commercial banks are playing an increasingly important part in financial system and promoting the gradual formation of diversified domestic financial system.However,due to a late start,urban commercial banks still have a considerable gap in human resources management with foreign banks and listed banks in China.It is of great necessity to give full play to talents if urban commercial banks want to develop and grow in financial competition.In accordance with the regular pattern that talents flow from low-paid banks to high-paid bank,state-owned banks and joint-stock commercial banks are utilizing their advantages such as Ilucrative salary and preferential environment in order to widely absorb scarce high-quality human resources in banking industry,espeacially those buiness backbone mastering large amounts of high-quality customer resources and outstanding financial professionals with professional skills in recent years.Moreover,on the other hand,loss in talents in urban commercial banks is severe.In addtion,job-hopping of staff in important positions is a common phenomonen.Human resources supply for the development of enterprises has become worse and worse.Talent gap in enterprises is continously expanding.Therefore,it has become an urgent need to attach great importance to the reseach in salary system in city commercial banks and to effectively improve the competitiveness of talents and comprehensive development strength.Through the analysis of salary management situation of J bank,this paper reveals the problems such as the lack of incentive mechanism in salary management for a long term,single performance evaluation index,low transparency of salary information,and the lack of matching of empl/oyees' duty and salary level.Therefore,this paper puts forward some relevant suggestions on salary management of J Bank from the perspectives of the establishment of salary system,performance management,establishment of incentive mechanism and improvement of supporting systems.
