Under the new economic normal, the development of enterprises convert from factor-driven to innovation-driven, so more and more enterprises attach importance to innovation, trying to create an atmosphere of innovation in order to encourage employees to innovate.As the basis of enterprise innovation, employee's innovation has always been the focus of academic research, in these studies, the variable of leadership have obtained many scholars' attention.In the beginning, the research to study the relationship between leadership style and individual innovation behavior are mostly western scholars, and the researches based on Chinese background is relatively scarce.Chinese leaders will often bring home management behavior to workplace,main leaders often tend to set up the majesty to workers and express their concern at the same time. The leaders always use position power to strengthen the management and control of their employees, at the same time they give job guidance to their employees and show tolerance to their errors and also care about employees' daily life.Self-efficacy is a kind of self-confidence essentially, is a kind of self-confidence of individual performance in the workplace.This paper use self-efficacy as a regulatory variable to study the impact of paternalistic leadership on employee innovation behavior and the role of self-efficacy in both.In this paper,we choose 224 employees of Technical research and Development Department which come from 27 high tech enterprises in Nanjing and collect the relevant data by the questionnaire survey method.In this paper, we selected related statistical analysis software to analyze data.we adopt description statistics,letter validity analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis to analyze collected data, aim to found the relationship between paternalistic leadership,employees' innovative behavior and the self-efficacy.Empirical analysis show that the benevolent leadership is positively related to the dimensions of employee innovation behavior, and the authoritative leadership is also related to the dimensions of employee innovation behavior, and the influence of the former is greater than the latter. Self-efficacy plays a regulatory role in the positive correlation between the benevolent leadership and employee innovation behavior, and does not play a regulatory role in the positive correlation between the authoritarian leadership and employee innovation behavior.Through the study of this article,we hope to bring some management suggestions to the leaders' practical work.Enterprises can build a scientific relationship between the upper and lower levels, as well as good communication channels to stimulate the staffs ability to innovate and the atmosphere of innovation, to keep competition advantage in the long run.
