In the context of accelerated regional integration and urbanization, regional economic growth is not isolated in the geographical space. It relies not only on internal factors including factor endowment, industrial structure, and comparative advantages, but only more benefits from local economic interaction and cooperaion, which plays an important role on the economic growth path within certain geographical scope. Actually, spatial distribution pattern of economic development, spatial correlation as well as growth spillover are newly research fields on spatial economics.Since the multi-point and multi-pole supporting development strategy in Sichuan province, due to the change of regional policy environment and the improvement in transportation network, the function of spatial agglomeration and diffusion in the Cheng-De-Mian area has dramatically strengthened. In addition, there exits an obvious characteristic of increasingly significant mutual connection and spatial dependence between adjacent cities. It is diametrically contrary that spatially economic disparity in this area has gradually appeared. Therefore, it is necessary to reveal economic spatial structure evolution,to measure the urban spatial interaction, and to verify the economic growth spillover effects and its main influential factors. From the perspective of New Economic Geography, the mechanism of spatial autocorrelation and spillover effects of economic growth is illustrated. This paper uses the global Moran's I index and Moran scatter plots to analyze that the regional economic growth in Sichuan province has formed a 'core-periphery' urban spatial pattern with Cheng-De-Mian area as the core. Based on the geographical distance, time distance and economic distance weight matrix, it also employs spatial Durbin model to explore the spatial direct and spillover effects. The results show that the economic growth has significant spatial spillover effects, and geographical proximity, traffic accessibility, and industrial linkage are the main influential factors. Also, there exists some differences in economic effects of factor inputs. The capital stock per worker plays the most positive direct effects, and the marketization degree has a significant positive spillover effects at economic distance matrix. And then, important policy inspirations are also discussed.
