The Spatio-temporal Evolution Of The Correlation Between Urbanization And Urban-rural Income Gap In China

After the reform and opening,it is a hot to study urbanization and urban-rural income gap iin our country academic circles.Faced with the new normal of economy,how to carry out the process of urban-rural integration in a scientific way and avoid widening the income gap between urban and rural areas are the important content of new-type urbanization.Although much research had been done by the scholars,substance focus on economics and management subjects and lacks of spatial perspective.And different research areas and methods lead to different results.China has a very vast area and differences are significant,the researches only focus on country level and provincial lever is not enough.On our way to build moderately prosperous society in 2020,it is necessary and urgent to do some research on the relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income gap.According to Chinese circumstances and urbanization development pattern,the research collects data from285 cities at prefecture level and above.Measure the spatial relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income gap from 2006 to 2014 based on the analysis of the spatio-temporal evolution of urbanization and urban-rural income gap and find the corresponding relation of space.Pay special attention to the region where the urban-rural income gap is quite large and provide scientific basis for the government making differentiated policy scientifically.The full text divides five chapters.The research background and significance are described in the first chapter.research from home and broad and theoretical basis is presented in order to propose a clear direction for research.The chapters of two three and four are empirical study,which are the focus of the thesis.The second chapter:The townifying evaluating index system is established from 6 aspects: population,economy,space,society,ecology and land utilization.It employs an entropy method to comprehensively measure the urbanization and analyze the spatio-temporal evolution and feature of urbanization.Chapter Three: Measure urban-rural income gap with urban and rural income ratio and analyze the spatio-temporal evolution of urban-rural income gap.Chapter Four: Measure the spatial relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income gap with correlation analysis,curve-fitting,dependence degree and coupling harmonious degree model.Chapter five: Come to a conclusion and make specific recommendations from 3 aspects: urbanization development,policy formulation and balanced development between regions in order to provide scientific basis for the specific government policy.Conclusions are as follows:(1)The urbanization level increases gradually from2006 to 2014,and the gap between them is obvious.The degree decreased from east to west generally and the high level urbanization and urban agglomeration show a good concordance.(2)There is temporal and spatial difference of the pattern of urban-rural income gap.High in the West and lower in the East in spatial distribution.There is a decrease in urban-rural income gap generally after 2009.There are significant features of spatial cluster.(3)There is remarkable negative correlation of logarithmic relation nexus between urbanization and urban-rural income gap.The urban-rural income gap is reducing where the urbanization level increases.There also exists regional difference.When the urbanization level increased to a certain extent,the effect of reducing the income gap when the urbanization level increases.(4)Most cities in our country is low urbanization-high urban-rural income gap,which are distributed in central and western regions.A small number of cities is low urbanization-low urban-rural income gap,which are distributed in Northeast China Region.The amounts of cities with high urbanization-low urban-rural income gap is small.Some provincial capitals are a top priority of them.The amounts of cities with high urbanization-high urban-rural income gap is several,which are distributed in Yangtze River Delta,Pearl river delta,Beijing and Tianjin,some provincial capital and resource-based city.And the amounts of them have an increasing tendency,which should be vigilant in the process of urbanization.And the amount s of them in gradually reducing.
