A Study Of Relationship Among Bonding And Bridging Social Capital, Knowledge Integration And Ambidextrous Innovation

Along with the development of Chinese economic growth slowdown, the knowledge-intensive enterprises are faced with the increasingly complex and changeable business environment in our country, under the influence of new technology and formats mode such as "internet plus", companies are forced not only using the existing technology to improve the existing market ,but also explore new technology to open up new markets, demanding further carry out of exploitative and exploratory innovation at the same time, namely the ambidextrous innovation.But if the organization resources are scarce, carrying out exploitative and exploratory innovation faces difficulties at the same time, how to guide and coordinate the organization carries out the ambidextrous innovation became increasingly academia focus.Social capital shows unique resource acquisition function when the predicament of scarce resources is break in organization, Which provides a new perspective both of exploitative and exploratory innovation for the enterprise. Knowledge integration can cognize,fuse,deconstruct the disperse social capital, also help enterprise to improve ambidextrous innovation ability.Accordingly, the effect of social capital on ambidextrous innovation in the knowledge-intensive enterprises is studied, and the mediating role of knowledge integration is explored,and social capital is accumulated for the enterprise, knowledge integration ability is cultivated, the path is provided to enhance the level of the ambidextrous innovation.This study on the basis of literature review and conclude, the research hypothes is put forward, the theoretical model is constructed.243 valid questionnaires is collected, data quality is evaluated by using SPSS19.0 and AMOS17.0 software tools, intermediary role is tested by using multiple regression analysis and the Bootstrap method, the overall model fitting with the path is analyzed by using structural equation model, and post hoc analyses is proceeded. The results reveal that (1)both bonding and bridging social capital facilitate ambidextrous innovation positively, but not appearing inverted U-shaped relationship, while the effect of bonding social capital influencing exploitative innovation is more significant, the effect of bridging social capital influencing exploratory innovation is more significant;(2)the supplementary knowledge integration plays a mediating role in the relationship between bonding social capital and exploitative innovation as well as the relationship between bridging social capital and exploratory innovation. however, the complementary knowledge integration plays a mediating role only in the relationship between bridging social capital and exploratory innovation;(3)Cluster Analysis finds the enterprise with high level of bonding and bridging social capital promote ambidextrous innovation better.In conclusion,bonding and bridging social capital has become an important channel to acquire innovation resources,and which played a key role in promoting ambidextrous innovation ability in the knowledge-intensive enterprises. Two types of knowledge integration promote social capital transform into the ambidextrous innovation resources,which played a key role in the transmission mechanism, to offer help to play a greater utility for social capital.
