On Influence Mechanism Of Executive Social Capital On Firms' Innovation Capability

With the pursuit of Chinese economic development from "high-speed" to "high quality",firms as the mainstay of economic promotion,the pressure of innovation is growing.Under the influence of various new technologies and new industry trends,the urgency of firms to enhance their innovation capability is stronger.Firms must pursue the improvement of exploratory innovation capability and exploitative innovation capability.Executive social capital has unique functions in helping firms to acquire innovative resources.And due to the superiority of executives social network status,it makes the function of executive social capital more prominent,and affects the improvement of innovation capability ultimately.Knowledge integration can re-cognize,merge,deconstruct and apply decentralized knowledge resources,and it will also help to enhance innovation capability.In addition,environmental factors cannot be ignored.Under the dynamic environment,firms must re-examine the mechanism of the influence of executive social capital on the knowledge integration and innovation capabilities.Therefore,this paper further examines the moderating role of environmental dynamics.Based on this,the relationship between executive social capital and innovation capability is studied,and the mediating role of knowledge integration and the moderating role of environmental dynamics are explored,and then empirical evidence is provided for accumulating executive social capital,doing a good job of internal knowledge integration,and enhancing firms' innovation capability.The results of this paper are as follows:(1)Some network indicators of executive social capital promote the exploratory innovation capability and exploitative innovation capability.(2)There is a certain mediating effect of complementary knowledge integration between executive social capital and firms' innovation capability,and supplementary knowledge integration has a certain mediating effect between the executive innovation capability and the exploratory innovation capability,but there is no mediating effect between the executive social capital and the exploitative innovation capability.(3)Environmental dynamics has a certain moderating effect between the partial network indicators of executive social capital and the exploratory innovation capability.In conclusion,executive social capital is an important channel to enhance firms' innovation capability.Two types of knowledge integration play an important role in the transformation of executive social capital into the innovation capability.In addition,environmental dynamics affect the role of executive social capital in the firms' innovation capability.Thus,two types of knowledge integration and environmental dynamics help the executive social capital to play a greater role.
