Research On Technical Efficiency Evaluation Of China's Listed Logistics Enterprises Based On DEA-Tobit Model

In recent years,with Chinese logistics industry developing rapidly and getting a higher climate index in 2016,the logistics industry is getting more and more important in the national economy and social development.The overall technical efficiency and economic efficiency level of our country's logistics enterprises are,however,still not high.Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in 2016 government work conference reported the reform of supply side,emphasizing that it is imperative to improve the quality and efficiency of the supply system.Facing the increasingly fierce international competition and the rapid growth of logistics demand both from domestic and international,it is particularly important to further improve the technical efficiency and economic efficiency of logistics enterprises.This paper takes 90 listed logistics enterprises in China as the object of research using two stages method by DEA-Tobit model.The first stage is to use data envelopment analysis method to analyze the technical efficiency of listed logistics enterprises from different aspects taking the factors such as net fixed assets,employee compensation and management costs as the input indicators,while the total operating income as output indicator.The first stage research will strive to provide references to optimize the allocation of resources and improve the technical efficiency of logistics enterprises.The second stage will analyse factors affecting the technical efficiency of listed logistics enterprises based on the panel data of 2010-2015 using the DEA technical efficiency calculated in the first stage as the dependent variable.Before regression corresponding assumptions based on the results of the first stage will be proposed.Through establishing the appropriate econometric model and regression analysis,the second stage research will make sure which factors have a significant influence on the technical efficiency of listed logistics companies.Based on the DEA-Tobit two stage research,this paper strive to optimize the allocation of resources and improve the technical efficiency of even the whole logistics industry,and put forward a scientific and effective evaluation model and policy recommendations.The data processing,DEA model solution and regression analysis are achieved bysoftware Stata version 14.0.
