With the advent of the economic globalization and knowledge economy,companies are facing more challenges from their competitors and environment. Theyhave tooffer more creatively new products and services to handle with the fiercecompetition andthe quickly changing markets. Only in this way, can they adjustthemselves to the change; if not, they will be driven out of the change. In order tosurvival and development, Enterprises have a growing willingness to enhance theenterprise’s core competitive abilities through innovation. In this process, team is thebasic unit of solving work problem and organization innovation. Supporting andencouraging team innovation environment can greatly improve the efficiency of teaminnovation, and has the superiority in the intense competition.In recent years, a study of team atmosphere for creativity has been a hot topic inthe research field of the team. Scholars have intensive studied the construction,mechanism, influence factors and some other aspects of team innovation climate andalso made considerable achievements. Among the numerous influence factors o fteam innovation climate, from the individual level factors, such as: personalitycharacteristics, education background, the sense of self-efficacy will have significanteffects to the team innovation climate. As an important achievement motivation, goalorientation will influence the pattern of subjective cognition, emotion and behaviorpattern of people. Therefore, this paper target goal orientation as research variablesputting on the empirical analysis.To a great extent, emotion can affect individualperception on the work environment and behavior pattern.Team identification is adegree how closely connected an individual emotionally define themselves as a teammember identity. Therefore, team identification can be used as an importantmoderating effect of team innovation climate.We investigated196employees from9knowledge intensive industries andconducted statistical analyses. The results are listed bellowed: Firstly, through a pre survey, we test the reliability and validity of goalorientation, work environment for creativity and team identification.Secondly, we used structural equation to test the model fitting degree of thethree variables.Thirdly, using regression analysis to test the impact of goal orientation on workenvironment for creativity and its various dimensions. The results of the study showthat, learning goal orientation and proving goal orientation have significant positiveeffect on team innovation atmosphere; avoiding goal orientation on team innovationclimate as a significant negative influence.Finally, we used hierarchical regression method to test the moderating effect ofteam identification on the relationship between goal orientation and team innovationclimate. The results suggested that team identification can moderate the positivecorrelation between learning goal orientation and team climate for innovation.
